Senior Pastor Don Pegg
Brief History of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church
March 12, 1939, Southside Mission began on the south side of Burlington, NC in a five-room house on the corner of Morehead facing Fix Street. Rev. A.D. Kinnett, the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Burlington, was a proponent in establishing the mission. In 1954 the church’s name was changed to Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church in his honor. November 1943 Rev. J.H. Waugh, Jr., who was physically blind, became the first full-time pastor. From its humble beginnings unto this day, Kinnett is more than bricks and mortar to those who need Christ.
Kinnett continues to strive and continue its legacy…
Reaching…
