May the fifteenth will be a special time for our church family at KMBC. Since 1939 the church has proceeded to go forward with the gospel of Christ. Many of the charter members have had their names taken off of the church roll while on earth because of death and they are now in glory and in heaven. They left a legacy that is strong and still lingers with the sweet smell of Christ.
1944 the church organized with the glory of God to end this epic run for the glory of God. Over seventy-two years of ministry KMBC, under the direction of our God, has won many victories. Lands and lots of people have been affected because of the strong desire of pastor and people to get the good news of the gospel out to others. We have a mandate and that commission is to go into all the world reaching, teaching, and ministering to the needs of others.
It is another milestone and it is to the glory of God that we come to celebrate this new year of accomplishment. God’s faithfulness has been seen and His glory is in view. As the world becomes less interested in faithfulness, God’s business is to continue to support and strengthen His people with His strong desire to reach others through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Thank God that He said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail.” God is building a universal church composed of all who make the same confession of faith as Peter made. This is God’s church. He said, “My church” (Matthew 16:18). His church is different from all other assemblies. His church is something new and living. Each believer in His church is a “living stone” (I Peter 2:5), and organism that is organized.
There is oneness to the people of God (Eph. 4:1-6) that ought to be revealed to the world by love and unity (John 17:20-26). One day the church will be seated around the throne of God. The church will judge the world and angels under God’s direction. The church will show forth the grace and glory of God as we are married to the Bridegroom for all eternity! What a glorious church which is rooted in eternity. “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” (Eph. 3:21).
I Love you,
